Experienced Logging Supervisor wanted.
Parkside is a 75+ year old company with divisions in saw milling, timber manufacturing, land and property development, home construction and retirement industries. Our Queensland Forestry operations are looking for an experienced Logging Supervisor.

About the role:
The role involves predominately managing Parkside’s state forest operations maintaining sales permit conditions through to compliance checking against codes of practices, log grade quality, safety compliance, and general work standards. The role will also require working with other Parkside Forestry staff in our freehold operations as directed by the Resource Manager.
The role will report to the Parkside Forestry Resource Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of Parkside Forestry staff and contractors
- South East 40+ and 30+ Western log grading
- Operational Harvesting Plan Assessment
- Sale area inspections
- Road management planning
- Liaise with Forestry on all matters associated with managing sale areas.
Criteria
- Relevant logging supervisor / forest management experience is a must!
- Physical fitness to enable effective completion of field-based work
- Good understanding of forestry planning processes and forest legislation requirements
- Good understanding of forest values including biodiversity and habitat management
- Experience liaising and supervising contractors
- Ability to adopt and utilise technology and systems
- Weekly travel will be required. Successful applicant must be able to work as far as Injune in the West to Gympie in the East.
